Floodplain

In August 2012, the Board of Supervisors enacted Ordinance No. 2012-02, Woodcock Township Floodplain Management Ordinance. The Ordinance was required pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Flood Plain Management Act, in order to establish regulations and requirements for construction, development and use of land within areas which are subject to flooding and to provide for the administration and enforcement of the regulations.  The intent is to promote the general health, welfare and safety of the community.

Floodplain permits are required if your property or structure is located in a floodplain and you intend to build new or improve your existing structure. The Floodplain Administrator, Renee Hayes, can help navigate this process.
